A few layouts to share...

Well, here I am working on HOF entries and I thought I would pop in and give a quick update before I go back to working on them. I still have so much left to do. These are a few layouts that I just uploaded. One is from like two weeks ago and I forgot to upload it. lol! I have some great news to share. I am going to be teaching scrapbooking classes at my dd's school! I will teaching kids in an after school program. I am so excited! Just had to share! Oh, and my first class is going to be on 2/7! Later in March I will be starting adult classes. The whole thing has come together so beautifully! I can't wait to get started.

Slipped into the dark ages...

We were without power from about 1pm yesterday until some time in the middle of the night. Let me tell you, it is not fun! Especially with an ice storm outside and dh had to work. I had no phone, so I was terrified that something had happen to him and the house got cold fast. It started when our lights got really bright. So I took a look outside and saw a down electric wire one house over from us. Just as I play open the blind to get a better look, a truck runs over the wire and the wire erupted into flames about 9 feet high. My living rooom lit up. It was unreal and very scary. I made my kids head to the back of the house to their room as it was the farthest from the street and I wasn't sure what was going to happen next. I dialed 911 and told them what happen, they said they would send someone immediately. The fire department showed up just as the fire subsided. Then our power went out. I gathered all candles, flashlights candle lighters, blankets and the first aid kit (just in case) and we all sat in the living room to keep warm. We played card games and waited for dh to get home. Luckily our stove is gas and I was able to make dinner. We had Corn Chowder. I figured some hot soup would be great for keeping us warm. We also watched a movie on dh's PSP after the girls fell asleep around 8:30. Lords of Dogtown. The only movie dh has for the PSP so far...lol! Hey, it was something to watch. When you are in the dark ages, you take what you can get. It wasn't too bad either. :D Well we woke up this morning to heat and electricity! Woohoo! Thank God, because I was about to get really grouchy without some much needed coffee.

Imaginisce!

Here are two layouts I created for Imaginisce. I am just totally head over heels in love with these products! The brads and metals from the Just For Frills Collection can be used in so many fun ways. One is using the Sam & Abby Collection and the other is from the Kewl Stuff Collection.

BLOG-HOPPER R.A.K....

I got a fabulous RAK in the mail the other day from this very sweet pea; Kimberly, http://kimberlykwan.typepad.com/ She posted a RAK on her blog and I responded. I wasn't the first to respond, but she sent me a RAK anyway. How sweet is that? This is what she sent me. I was so thrilled when I opened it. Thank you Kimberly! So... Following her lead, I am going to RAK one of you with a generous package of Frances Meyer goodies. In order to play:

1. You must post here on my blog that you want to play.
2. When your R.A.K. arrives in the mail, blog about it on YOUR blog.
3. Assemble your own scrapbook-ey R.A.K. and offer it to the first respondent on YOUR blog.

WOW!

I have not stayed up this late at home scrapping in a LONG time. I use to be such a night owl, but now I am getting wimpy in my old age and have to get my Z's. But, alas I have a CHA deadline tomorrow and the product arrived today, so I must pull an all-nighter, well at least for me 1-2 am is an all-nighter...lol! I am almost done and hopped on the computer to print some journaling up. I am starting to crash so I had better get back to work and get it done before I fall asleep in the pile of stuff I have strewn all over my table.
